German page, translated into a simplified English.
Preliminary notes:
The device appears to be under several brand names, e.g. Canmore GP-102, renkforce GP-102, NavGear OC-300 (as of Feb. 2019).
The programs „CanWay“ and „CanWay Planner“ are included with the GP-102. Unfortunately updates can not be checked in „www.canmore.com.tw/download.php“ and here (as of May 2018). Possibly you may find it in Conrad’s downloads. See also software.informer .
POIs = Point (s) Of Interest
Tracks are called routes in the manual of the GP-102.
Probably the best way to handle tracks / routes and POIs is through the GPS Visualizer.
Import the tracks from the GPS device into the „CanWay“ program and export them from there into the GPX format.
Import the POIs from the GPS device into the program „CanWay Planner“ and save them as a .sav file /// or export them into the GPX format.
Either click „Convert to GPX“ in the GPS Visualizer home page or go to this page and fill in the gray input field as follows:
Click the Radio button „GPX“
Below:
Fil #1 — record the GPX file of the tracks / routes
Fil #2 — record the .sav file of the POI /// or record the GPX export file of the POI
[+] show advances options — click it and record it as follows:
Track Options: Trackpoint distance threshold — optional
Waypoint Options: Include waypoints All
Now click on „Convert“ in the grey box at the top right.
For more information, see „GPS Visualizer Output“.
The result is a GPX file containing the POIs and the route (track).
Alternative:
Import the tracks from the GPS device into the „CanWay“ program and export them there in GPX format.
Import POI from the GPS device into the program „CanWay Planner“ and export it to GPX format.
Merge the GPX (tracks) and the GPX (POI) with the GPX editor into a single GPX file.
Alternative to the GPX Editor: Viking (advanced editing options).
Other alternatives: see search engines.
Alternative:
Read in the tracks from the GPS device into the „CanWay“ program and from there export them to the GPX format.
Read in POI from the GPS device into the program „CanWay Planner“ and from there export them to the GPX format.
Create a map as with the online tool umap (OSM) and import the GPX files each individually.
You can edit and adapt the created map.
From umap (OSM), output the entered GPX data (tracks and POI) to a single GPX file by clicking from menu to menu at the righthand border of the screen as follows:
gear
extended actions
download
GPX
download and open or save data
(these 4 terms are translated from German)
Note: umap also processes other data formats, as e.g. KML.
Alternative:
Read in the tracks from the GPS device into the „CanWay“ program and from there export them to the GPX format.
Read in POI from the GPS device into the program „CanWay Planner“ and from there export them to the GPX format.
Create a map as with the online tool sharemap and import the GPX files each individually.
GPX POIs are not visible in sharemap, so it is better to use KML.
The map can be further edited and customized.
Remember that sharemap requires the Adobe Flash Player.
Notice:
A GPX/KML export from umap and sharemap no longer contains height (elevation).
With the GPS Visualizer the height values (elevations) can be restored.
If time information is required in the track but is missing, artificial times can be generated with the tool.
Notice:
Routes / tracks and points can also be treated independently of each other with most of the above methods.
